Theist and Atheist Scholars Discuss the Meaning and Value of Life
Vaishnava scholar Howard Resnick (HD Goswami) and atheist philosopher Ben Watkins both take the second horn of the Euthyphro dilemma and agree value is objective, then split over whether value needs God: Watkins deploys Laplace and the shopping-cart test to show morality runs without the hypothesis, while Resnick answers with Callicles' tyrant, the how/why distinction, and a God too free to be the conclusion of an argument.
